2009 March – We were very sad to say goodbye to Captain Carlos Saavedra del Carpio. After 16 years dedicated to the Yavari he left to travel the Ancient World. During his captaincy he was responsible for the security and maintenance of the vessel, welfare of the crew and for entertaining many thousands of visitors. We owe him much for his significant contribution and wish him the very best on his travels.
